Shenley Productions will be staging Paul Burton's new adaptation of E. Nesbit's The Railway Children in the Studio Theatre at The Other Palace in London this August. The cast will perform the production in the style of a radio play and the imaginative storytelling will be enhanced with sound effects and music.
The much-loved story concerns a family, including the children Roberta (nicknamed Bobbie), Peter and Phyllis, who move from London to the Three Chimneys, a house near a railway, in Yorkshire after the father, who works at the Foreign Office, is imprisoned after being accused of spying.
